To our Customers, Vendors, Friends, and Employees of CRS,
We certainly find ourselves in an extraordinary time. The world’s reaction to COVID-19 has certainly given all of us something to be concerned with and to think about on a daily basis. You can not go anywhere and not experience its impact. Tensions are high, as are the worries when dealing with the unknown and how it will affect our lives and the lives of those we love and care about. As one of my Commanders expressed to me when I was a young officer on a nuclear weapons site during a very tense time in Europe, “Just take it one day at a time and stay focused on the mission.” Major Shadburn had survived Vietnam and is one of the finest officers I ever served under.
I certainly have no idea what we will be dealing with in the near future. I am concerned about all that we are facing on numerous fronts. At this time, CRS is conducting business as usual despite the unusual circumstances. We, like everyone else, are waiting to see what comes next. We are exercising care as it pertains to our employees and customers that we come in contact with on a daily basis, exercising the recommended health and safety protocols for human contact. Our production facilities remain open and our delivery service is ongoing as many of our customers are still working. It should be noted that CRS will deliver to the home addresses of our customers should they decide to work there rather than the office. We would only ask that drawings be left where minimal or no contact is required i.e. front door. We would also ask that you limit your visits to our offices and submit documents electronically or allow us to pick them up. This again is designed to limit human exposure. While the best part of Chris’s, Gavin’s, Lindsay’s and Jared’s day is interacting with customers, I think we all understand the necessity to avoid physical contact.
Those who know me, know that I care deeply about my team, my partners, my customers, my vendors – my friends. I, like the rest of you, just want to get past this and move on to brighter days. As long as local government permits, the health and safety of our staff and customers can be reasonably assured, and the business demands exist, CRS will remain open even if we have to modify our normal service and production levels.
I wish you all well.
